La Mesa Healthcare Center has such a welcoming and caring environment! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure patients feel comfortable and supported. The facility is very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for reliable care.

This is an excellent skilled nursing facility that I would not hesitate to recommend. The staff is extremely caring, friendly, and considerate to each patient. The physical therapy is carefully and expertly tailored to the needs of each patient. They truly go above and beyond what might be asked for.

All things considered, this is a SNF to which I would return if needed. No major faults. Many major blessings including kind staff.

HORRIBLE!!!! My mom had only been there for 3 days, and she’s gotten the worst care. Nurses take over 30 minutes to get to her and help go the bathroom. And when she has accident because she didn’t make it on time to the bathroom they expect my mom to take off her own bottoms, when my mom is there due to he inability to move and needs therapy. We are currently trying to get her out of there to a better facility, but the head nurse is lagging to help us with the transfer. This health care center has employees talking out loud about thier BBL’s, playing loud music, nurses are having full blown out loud conversations, being very unprofessional. All this is going on while there are multiple lights turned on from outside if the residents rooms, meaning they need help. All I can say, never again will we be coming here again. And please don’t put your love ones here.

I am/was a resident of this facility I’m in the nursing facility of La Mesa Healthcare Center. The facility is nice and clean, and the CNAs are all great. The physical therapy area here is fantastic. The least I like about this place is the food. The breakfasts are always good, but the lunches or dinners are sometimes hit or miss. They have an activities department, and they do a lot. They have the usual, like bingo, and we celebrate monthly birthdays. We just got a new director, and we just started gardening. We have music, entertainment, and parties like a luau. Yesterday we also had a farmers’ market where we had a bunch of different fruits.

I am writing on behalf of my roommate/client that I do IHSS for at home. He broke his hip Dec 1st and was sent here for rehabilitation after surgery. The 1st day he arrived no one had any idea of what meds he was on until I brought them all in and told them what he takes. His call button worked but the light outside the door was burnt out although we were told the nurses station could see he needed assistance but it took 4 other staff members to get his nurse. When he told them he needed to go number 2 he was told by staff to go in his diaper and to him that was very demeaning and unsanitary. He shared a bathroom with 3 other people witch also seemed unusual. They never asked about food preferences until I showed up once again to inform them what he does and does not eat. He was in a room that had a sliding glass door that at times was left ajar all night. Most of the staff seemed very unsure of how they should proceed until they checked with others. He went a whole week without a shower (due to him being transported to have his staples removed) causing him to miss his (scheduled) shower time. He had amazing results with his rehabilitation staff. He initially wanted to give 1 star but was very pleased with Richard the night nurse and Dahlia the morning med nurse as well as Elena and Melanie the physical therapists who encouraged him to keep pushing so he could come home. He is now home and much happier.

Excellent Staff. Very clean facility. Everyone treated our mother with such kindness and care. Brian was caring, kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. He answered any questions we had and always had time to talk when we had concerns or needed help. My mom really loved Richard and Innocent. They made her feel so special and always took great care of her. We could feel relieved and relaxed when we left, knowing she was in the best care and kept very clean and comfortable.

Such a clean environment. All the CNAs are polite and work hard to help the Residents.

Kudos to superstar nurse Brian Whaley RN. I lost my beloved brother to cancer. Brian helped with professionalism, compassion and education. He supported me and my family through the toughest of times. This is a good facility. They listen, and they care.

This facility is one of the best in San Diego! I’ve been to many before and at this one the nurses are great and all the staff is very helpful and friendly. If you are ever in a position to need skilled nursing this is the one you should choose they go above and beyond expectations.

My spouse has been here 3 times already, she always chooses to return thus place takes wonderful care of patients and all staff are so kind. Your loved ones will ve taken care of here and prioritizes!

Transportation was a nightmare. Tiffany was the only saving grace. Still have legal matters to resolve.

I am/was a resident of this facility I was there for 20 days following discharge from critical care unit due to cardiac arrest. The staff was friendly and efficient but I would have liked to see an RN once 8n a while. The physical and occupational therapists were young and energetic and very encouraging. They rate an A+. The food, however, was mostly terrible. One cold fried egg with a piece of bread that was supposed to be toast on a plate was inedible. Food that was supposed to at least be warm was cold. There were soups that were quite good. Way too much starchy food. Even after my roommate and i spoke with the dietician in charge of the food, nothing changed. The room was clean and it was nice having a sliding door to see the sky and patio. I would return if I needed a rehab facility again, because the therapists i mentioned were terrific, but i would bring my own food.

I love the team at La Mesa Healthcare! Kris, the Social Worker, has been wonderful to work with, she truly cares about the residents and their wellbeing. She is such a positive person and takes care of anything that pops up! Conner, the Administrator, has been very helpful and attentive. He really listens and helps everyone as much as he can. It’s an awesome place!

My mom was admitted after her hip surgery and was happy with staying there. Thank you for CNA Eden ROSE, Brenda, Junior for my PTsSHANA DEAL ,Gabriel, Debra. Also were very helpful for activity organising Loren.Also thank you for MD Joan Stewards.

I am/was a resident of this facility My room was clean and comfortable. The therapy staff were so patient and helped me recover. They had a nice menu and I enjoyed the food. Overall it was a great experience.

My 95 yr old father who suffers from Parkinson’s did rehab there from Covid. The care the staff took in helping him recover was wonderful. PT and OT helped him gain back his mobility. Thank you La Mesa Healthcare Center for providing such good care for my dad. He is 95 years old and was a patient there while recovering from an illness. The physical and occupational therapy he received was excellent. Allison, Annie, Devon, Herme and the whole therapy staff were attentive and available to us as a family for information and guidance. The care staff was very kind to my dad and he was well taken care of. Thank you Chris, Miriam, Richard, Innocence, to name just a few. For anyone going through the mentally, disabling duty of finding a great place to set up a loved one in a re-hab center, I can wholly recommend La Mesa Healthcare… Although, my wife was only there for three days, it was the most wonderful group of professionals with empathy, I have ever encountered. Kudos to Conner and staff for being so outstanding.

This is a place for a person who needs assistance with living, or can’t live alone. Physically disabled or needs physical therapy, people live there
